I began my "professional" writing career in September of 2012, fresh out of high school, with a story about a soccer player who traveled all the way from London to play for Michigan. I also knew his friend, another player from the UK, boarded a plane at the same time as my interview, but I didn't think it would be very nice of me to include that in the story. I was wrong. I've covered the Michigan softball team's journey to Oklahoma and written arguably scathing reviews of the Michigan hockey team. That first story wasn't much, but it was a start.
