 Self-Investigative Journalism

There's something maddeningly beautiful about formula, something freeing about breaking away from it. In jounralism, we get both — to breathe life into AP style, to stick to proper for

clarity; to write an article entirely comprising questions, to write in song metaphor. It's

frustrating and thankless and utterly satisfying, three rounds of editing later. It's news. It's life.

Embrace it.

The University of Michigan has taken me farther west, farther north and farther into myself than I ever thought possible. I've been to the Mustard Museum in Wisconsin, to the Omaha Zoo in Nebraska and the Mall of America in Minnesota. My experiences have been both memorable and invaluable, career and otherwise. I get to put this sh!t on a resume!
